Peru´s roads of death.
Al Shifa, Sudan.
Remains of Al Shifa pharmaceutical plant, destroyed by US Tomahawk missiles 20th of August 1998, as a site of alleged chemical weapons manufacture. It was never proven that there were any such activities taking place at Al-Shifa.
Al Shifa was the largest pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum and employed over 300 workers, producing medicine both for human and veterinary use. The factory was used primarily for the manufacture of anti-malaria medicines and veterinary products. The factory was destroyed in 1998 by a missile launched by the U.S government. Critics of the attack have estimated that up to tens of thousands of Sudanese civilians died throughout Sudan as the supply of necessary drugs was cut off.
Al-Shifa has stayed untouched since the missile attack.
